Choosing
What works above a bed
Keep the palette soft. Pale sea, pastel sky and warm neutrals settle a room. Save strong contrast for the rooms you live in by day.
Go wide, not tall. A work about two thirds the width of the headboard sits comfortably. Square works of 90 to 110 cm, or a pair, suit a double or queen bed.
Hang it low. The bottom of the frame about 20 to 30 cm above the headboard, so the bed and the work read as one.
